Variable Speed Machining

This project is studying the electronic cam problem. Existing servo control and repetitive control can deal with this problem pretty well when the master axis rotates at a constant speed. In engineering practice, the rotational speed may not be constant. For example, the variable speed machining is used to reduce the chatter. In this case, the periodicity of the signal is maintained with respect to the master axis’ angle, not with time any more. The performance of conventional repetitive control is degraded. If we consider the problem in the angle domain, the slave dynamics is varying. TV MRC controller design techniques is used to make the dynamics invariant in the angle domain. ZPETC or Mu synthesis repetitive controller can be designed as a outside loop.
