Background Information

Yi-Hung Chen is a Ph.D. student in mechanical engineering at the University of California at Los Angeles. He received the B.S. and M.S. degree in mechanical engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in 1998 and 2000, respectively. He has worked as a firmware engineer for optical drives in Ultima Corporation Inc. (Taipei, Taiwan). He has been involved several optical drive projects, including CD-RW, DVD-RW and DVD+RW. His current research is focused on the repetitive control theory and real-time control and improvements of tracking and focusing servo-loop of optical disc drive
